This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, free trials, automatic renewals, refunds, billing errors, and charge disputes work for pdf-converter.ai.

Because pdf-converter.ai is a digital software service that may provide immediate access to online tools and document processing functionality, fees are generally non-refundable except as expressly stated in this policy or required by applicable law.

1. Free Trials

If a plan includes a free trial, the applicable trial length, automatic renewal terms, payment method requirements, and cancellation method will be disclosed at or before checkout.

If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged for the paid subscription that would otherwise begin at the end of the trial.

2. Automatic Renewal

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.

Monthly plans renew monthly, annual plans renew annually, and other billing cycles renew according to the plan selected.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel through your account settings where available or by contacting support@pdf-converter.ai.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless this policy or applicable law says otherwise.

4. When Refunds May Be Available

Refunds may be available only in the following limited cases unless applicable law requires otherwise:

• you were charged because of a verified duplicate billing error;
• you purchased overlapping duplicate subscriptions for the same account or substantially the same service use;
• you were charged after a cancellation that should have taken effect before renewal;
• the Service was not made available to you due to a confirmed technical provisioning error on our side;
• a refund is required by non-waivable consumer, payment, or digital services law.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Except where required by law, we generally do not provide refunds for:

• change of mind;
• failure to cancel before the renewal date;
• unused time remaining in a billing period;
• dissatisfaction based on preferences rather than a confirmed service failure;
• unsupported third-party file formats or corrupted source files not caused by us;
• user error, account misconfiguration, or local device issues; or
• suspension or termination due to violation of our Terms of Service.

6. Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@pdf-converter.ai within 30 days of the charge and include enough information for us to investigate, such as the account email address, charge date, invoice number, and a description of the issue.

If we confirm a qualifying billing error, we may issue a refund, credit, reversal, or other appropriate correction.

7. Chargebacks

Before filing a chargeback, please contact us so we can review the issue.

Improper or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension, subscription cancellation, or collection efforts to the extent permitted by law.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
